The Temperament
of Space
Designer, 3D artist & developer
For The Temperament of Space, I translated two site-specific sound-and-space installations into interactive 3D environments, rebuilding real Croatian landscapes as places visitors could move through and listen to, rather than just look at.
The Temperament of Space is an ongoing sound-and-space research initiative led by Diane Mitchell at The New School, built around one question: as we grow more absorbed in our devices, how do we re-energize the physical rooms we've stopped noticing? The project treats sound as the medium that already surrounds every room, and uses it, alongside projection, print, and interaction, to turn bare walls and neutral surfaces into spaces worth paying attention to again.

01 Installation
Transience
Dynamic footage of the travertine waterfalls at Krka National Park plays across wall-high panels, turning the gallery into a mesmerizing, moving landscape. The piece sits with themes of perpetual motion and tranquility: an invitation to flow with the constant movement of life rather than resist it.

02 Installation
Curiosity
Staged at the Sea Organ in Zadar, Croatia, Curiosity combines video projection, sound objects, and pigment prints into a modular installation: a vivid landscape of blue water and golden light on the edge of land and sea. Its soundscape and imagery shift in response to visitor movement, so the piece is never experienced quite the same way twice.

Both installations exist first as physical, sound-driven spaces. The versions above are playable translations, built to carry a piece of that experience anywhere there's a browser.
