NutriMonster

NutriMonster overlays grocery products with the information you actually need, stripping away the marketing a brand wants you to see.

Point your phone at a product and Vuforia image recognition picks it up. Animated monster characters, one each for sugar, saturated fat, sodium, and calories, rate the product at a glance. Move the phone closer and the monsters expand into detailed nutrition facts pulled from the OpenFoodFacts database, so a quick shelf scan and a careful read are both one gesture away. I designed the experience and modeled the monsters in Blender.
